Delete your Belayat account

This page deletes a Belayat account, for the Belayat app and the belayat.uk website, which are run by Twakka Ltd. You can do it here without the app. To check it is you, we send a code to the email address on your account.

This deletes your Belayat account for good. It cannot be undone.

What we delete

Your profile: your name, photo and bio.
Your posts. They disappear from Belayat straight away, and their photos are erased within 30 days.
Your messages. People you talked to keep their side of the chat. Yours show as deleted, from "Deleted user", and they cannot reply.
Your verified mobile number, your settings, saved searches and signed-in devices.
Your sign-in. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also tell Apple to disconnect Belayat.

What we keep, and why

Reports and moderation decisions, including copies of reported posts and what you wrote in a report or an appeal. The law expects us to keep a record of how we dealt with scams and illegal content. Your name is not attached to your reports.
If your account was banned: a scrambled code made from your mobile number, so it cannot be used to verify a new account. Nobody can read the number from it.
A note that this account was deleted, and when. It has no name, email or number in it.

Have the app? You can also delete your account in Me, then Delete my account.
