Nepal is the country known for the birth place of Buddha, and country with the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest and the great brave Gurkha soldiers. Nepalese cuisine has a unique combination of food from the tropical low lands to the cold high altitude himalayas. All this has played a major role in the shaping of Nepalese cuisine. With Nepalese cuisine traditionally focusing on producing a steamed, mountainside flavour - a mix of fresh, herb infused powerful dishes sums up the menu produced by the Nepalese chef, light on the palate but lasting on the memory.
