Early Years 1-1 Learning Support Assistant Location: Edgeborough School, Frensham, Farnham GU10 3AH Salary: £15.00-£16.00 per hour depending on experience Vacancy Type: Part-time Term time only Closing date: 17/11/2026 Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.15am to 1.00pm (with the potential to increase) The Role Edgeborough School is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to provide consistent and personalised support to one of our EYFS pupils, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve success both in and out of the classroom. As the pupil’s trusted adult, you'll build a strong, positive relationship that helps them feel safe, understood and ready to learn. Every day will bring opportunities to celebrate progress, encourage independence and make a genuine difference to their wellbeing and future outcomes. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Working within our Reception Teaching Team and in collaboration with parents, your role will encompass the following responsibilities: Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the pupil’s school day. Helping the pupil access learning, engage with peers and participate positively in all aspects of school-life. Building a trusting and supportive relationship that promotes confidence and self-esteem. Supporting emotional wellbeing, social development and positive behaviour. Adapting your approach to meet individual interests, preferences and needs. Encouraging independence, resilience and life skills. Working closely with parents, teachers, the SENDCo, therapists and the wider school team to progress the pupil’s personalised targets and implementation of all support plans.
